Mfera Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) in Chikwawa has taken a big step toward improving its learning environment by purchasing 50 new desks through self-funding. This initiative, led by Headteacher Mr. Edward Mitiwe, shows the school's commitment to providing a better classroom experience despite limited resources. The new desks are expected to ease overcrowding and enhance both comfort and concentration in the classroom. For students and teachers alike, this development is a welcome improvement that supports better academic performance. Speaking about the milestone, Mr. Mitiwe expressed his gratitude and hope for continued progress: "This purchase marks a significant step forward for Mfera CDSS. Providing our students with a comfortable and dignified learning environment is paramount to their success. These desks will not only alleviate overcrowding but also foster a greater sense of pride and ownership among our learners." The school's decision to fund the purchase independently highlights its dedication to quality education and sets a strong example of local initiative in education development.
